Right now, Play The Venue runs entirely in the browser and needs an internet connection to work — that's not changing. What's coming alongside it is a way to run a session with no connection at all: a desktop app for the host's laptop that runs everything locally, and phone apps for players to join over the venue's own local network instead of the open internet.

A downloadable app for Windows and macOS that runs a session entirely on the host's own machine — no internet required once it's installed. Same dashboard, same games, built for a venue where the WiFi can't be trusted.
Player apps In development
Native apps for iOS and Android so players can join and play over the host's local network, without needing mobile data or a venue internet connection either.
Nothing to wait for today
Every feature on this site — bingo, quiz night, buzzer rounds, prize draws and the rest — is fully live and working right now in the web app, for any host with a normal internet connection. The offline apps above are for the specific case of a venue where that connection can't be relied on; everyone else has nothing to wait for.
